Provides simple, safe, and secure management of your patient’s arms, protecting the sterile field, with the added benefit of providing additional radiation protection in cath labs.
ArmSure is the ideal system to assist with the increasing number of procedures performed under conscious sedation where patient restlessness can be an issue. Often clinicians will resort to tucking towels or wrapping sheets around the arms to stop confused patients from compromising the sterile femoral access site. The disadvantage of this is they can work loose during the procedure and restrict access to the forearm for IV lines, anaesthesia, etc.
Now, you can prevent this, and maintain easy access, by gently securing the arms of your supine patient in a comfortable adducted position, using Armsure’s simple, soft strapping system. In addition, you can enhance the safety of your team by attaching the optional IR Shield for extra scatter radiation protection.
Installing ArmSure is exceptionally straightforward. It will work with all lab tables, on both sides of the image table and is designed to fit the full range of patients with easy-to-apply, adjustable straps. Positioned under the sterile drape, ArmSure accommodates generic padding and common gel pads to ensure patient comfort.
Soft straps prevent a restless patient reaching into the sterile femoral access site during a procedure.
ArmSure is made more durable by using high-performance plastic materials selected to resist chemical attack from commonly used disinfectants. This is what causes the typical cracks and breakages that you will have experienced with existing, standard plastic, arm boards.
The ArmSure + Shield provides the ideal support for your patients with additional scatter radiation protection for your team. The IR Shield is an X-Ray Shield containing a 0.5mm Lead (Pb) Sheet enclosed in Carbon Fibre. Click here to check the scatter radiation report.
